Forestry Objective: The objective of this programme is to increase tree cover in the county through promotion of agro-forestry and reforestation of the forests within the county. Activities implemented: Procurement of tree seedlings and planting of the same in various places including public institutions. Accomplishment: over 500,000 trees have been planted across the county.
Riparian protection Objective: The objective of this programme is to reduce pollution and degradation of riparian areas in the county. Activities implemented: fabrication, inscription and installation of public notices/sign posts to sensitize and increase awareness.
