Governor Isaac Ruto last Friday signed an MoU between the County Government of Bomet and The Kenya Society for the Blind that will see them establish a resource center for the blind at Korara School of the Blind Children and an optical shop. The county government had earlier donated office space and a workshop to the society to start operations in the county. The governor at the same time signed an MoU with Salus-Oculi Kenya, a German NGO, to set up a vocational training centre for the visually impaired at Kapkesosio, Chepalungu Sub-County, Nyangores Ward. Rotary Club of Nairobi South is also on board to fund equipment and infrastructure development at Korara School of the Blind Children while UAP/ Old Mutual Foundation donated learning equipment. ​
