Bomet County Governor Prof. Hillary Barchok paid a courtesy visit to Longisa Medical Training College in Longisa Ward, Bomet East Constituency, earlier today. Governor Barchok visited the institution to officially welcome 100 newly admitted nursing students following the reinstatement of the course in the institution.

Speaking during the function, Prof. Barchok stated that his administration is working around the clock to ensure that institution standards are maintained and the quality of teaching and learning is raised.

He also said that his administration will look into helping the institution address the challenges they are facing, such as congestion due to inadequate buildings and a shortage of teaching staff.

The governor recognised the positive impact of the institution on the growth of Longisa town and assured the students that his administration would continue to improve the surrounding social amenities.
