The county government of Bomet has put shoddy road contractors on notice. Speaking while doing a routine inspection of roads in Boito and Mogogosiek Wards, Konoin Sub county, Bomet County Executive Committee member for Roads, Public Works and Transport Eng. Philip Sowek said that the county government will blacklist any contractor doing substandard work on the count roads. “The county government is committed to delivering standard roadworks for the residents to realize value for their money’’ Eng. Sowek said. He added that county engineers and other officers would be deployed to supervise all roads being done by the county government to ensure quality work. This warning comes just a day after county engineer Feston Koech ordered the contractor doing Ilyo-Mengichik road in Singorwet ward of Bomet Central subcounty to redo the road. The county government of Bomet is currently doing over 150 Kms of roads spread across all the 25 wards (2 per ward) in the county.
