Bomet County Governor Prof. Hillary Barchok toured Ndanai/Abosi  ward in Sotik Sub County to implement a number of development projects.

The tour kicked off at Ndanai Sub County Hospital where the county boss initiated  projects aimed at expanding the hospital. The Governor initiated the construction of a  ward in the facility and also delivered a Tele Doc Machine, which will enable doctors in the facility to attend to patients remotely.

Governor Barchok further stationed a state-of-the-art ambulance, which will be used by patients in case of  emergencies.

After commissioning projects at the hospital Governor Barchok  procceded to ndanai town where commissioned a modern public toilet for the business community around Ndanai town and a “mama mboga” shade , which will support women doing their businesses in Jua Kali.

On matters of education, Governor Barchok’s administration has completed the construction of a boys’ dormitory at Ndanai Vocational Training Centre. The dormitory will help to decongest the existing one, given that the number of learners in the institution has surpassed 500 mark.

Additionally, the County Government of Bomet has rolled out a full scholarship program for 625 students in different vocational training centres, of which 25 are in Ndanai VTC, with more students benefiting from partial scholarships across the county.

During the tour Governor  Bachok thanked the County Assembly for appropriating the funds that will ensure the development projects are inniated  across the county.

During the tour, the Governor was accompanied by Speaker of County Assembly Cosmas Korir, area MCA and Majority Leader Paul Kirui, Peter Kipjirjir (Kipsonoi), Roseline Cheptoo (Rongena/Maranet), Dennis Busienei (Chemagel), Leonard Rotich (Chesoen), Emily Cheruiyot (Nominated), and Naomi Silatei (Nominated).
