Earlier today, the Department of Health and Medical Services had a meeting with  its partner Nitibu Network Africa graced by the Chief Officer Health services Mr Felix Lang’at and the County Director Health Services Dr Ronald Kibet  to finalize on the preparation for the upcoming medical Camp set to take place at Koiwa Sub county Hospital this coming Saturday.

The team checked on the status of ongoing preparations to ensure all logistics are put in place to ensure the success of the day.

Chief Officer Health services Felix Lang’at congratulated the team for coming up with the medical outreach and appreciated the partners who have offered their generous support to the upcoming event.

The event will also  be an excellent opportunity to offer public sensitization of various topical health issues such as nutrition/ malnutrition, TB, HIV, PMTCT, NCDs, teenage pregnancies, malaria, Vaccination uptake (e.g HPV), cervical cancer screening, SGBV prevention and so on.

The team also paid a visit to the Koiwa Rehabilitation Center to check on the first cohort of recruits who are currently receiving rehabilitation services at the center and were glad to see great changes in their appearances, habits and character.

Other partners who will be part of the event include NHIF, Red cross, Wito Boresha Maisha, AIC litein, Tenwek, Emmanuel AGC Sotik, Waltereed, ICL, Equity Afia, Wezesha Empowerment Network.
