Bomet Governor Prof. Hillary Barchok, alongside his Narok counterpart, today officially opened the Cheboin Suspension Bridge,a vital cross-border link that will make movement of people, goods, and services easier and safer.
To complement this milestone, the Bomet County Department of Roads, Transport, and Public Works has completed the Kapuswa-Kisaruni road, leading directly to the footbridge at Kapuswa village in Kipreres Ward, Bomet East.
The new road and bridge network is expected to enhance connectivity, boost trade, and spur socio-economic growth for residents of both counties.
Governor Barchok reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure for accessibility and development adding that he is committed to infrastructure that drives growth.
The launch was attended by key leaders, including Kipreres Ward MCA Hon. Livondo, Sigor Ward MCA Hon. Peter Mutai, Singorwet Ward MCA Hon. Josephat Kirui, CECM for Roads Hon. Ambrose Koech, and other county officials.
