The County Government of Bomet through the department of Education, Youths, Sports and Vocational Training is delighted to announce to students and the general public that the 2024 form one and the first time VTC full scholarships are open for application.
The secondary school full scholarship program is currently benefiting over 1235 students across the county. The program started in 2015 with 4 students per ward and in 2019, it was increased to 10 per ward.
On the other hand, the VTC scholarship program is a new program that is being rolled for the first time and is set to benefit needy Bomet County students enrolling in any of the 33 Vocational Training Colleges spread across the county.
The form one scholarships program targets needy students from public primary schools who sat for their KCPE in this year and attained a minimum of 300 marks. The selection process is done at Ward level by the Ward Bursary Committee.
The two scholarship applications forms are available at county education offices, cyber cafes and online at bomet.go.ke.
The dateline for application is on 16th December 2023. The Government therefore asks the general public, parents and guardians to assist needy students to make their applications as soon as possible.
