The inaugural meeting of the Bomet Development Control Committee was held today, chaired by Chief Officer Mr. Issa Yarrow.
The newly established committee is mandated to oversee all forms of land development, aiming to regulate and manage land use for proper and authorized development, ensuring optimum productivity of available land space.
The Bomet County Government Cabinet approved the formation of the Development Control Committee, aligning with relevant laws to assist the county in development control.
Chaired by the CECM and assisted by the CO, the committee, comprising senior staff from relevant dockets, will hold regular meetings to streamline land usage in Bomet County, addressing key aspects such as construction and subdivision.
Governor Prof. Hillary Barchok graced today’s meeting, assuring the committee of his full support for their mandate and activities.
