Governor Dr Hillary Barchok, on April 5th, 2020, launched a countywide disinfection and fumigation exercises of public spaces in a bid to curb the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.The exercise targets public spaces which include markets, public service vehicles stages, bodaboda sheds among other utilities. It also targets major trading centres which include Bomet, Kaplong, Sotik, Mogogosiek, Silibwet among
other trading centres. “My administration is ready to invest its resources to ensure the lives of Bomet residents are safe in the wake of the deadly coronavirus disease raging across the globe.” Dr Barchok said.The exercise will be conducted mainly during the curfew hours between 7PM to 5AM across the county in a bid to reduce disruption of businesses during the day.
