Hon. Andrew Kimutai Sigei, born on December 18, 1970, in Siomo Embomos, Konoin Subcounty, is a distinguished public servant currently serving as the County Executive Committee Member for the Department of Finance, Economic Planning, and ICT.

His educational journey began at Siomo Primary School, completing in 1986. He then proceeded to Cheptenye Boys’ High School from 1987 to 1990, repeating Form 4 in 1991 at Sotit Secondary School.

In 1993, he joined the University of Nairobi to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Economics, graduating in 1998. Building on this foundation, he pursued a Master’s Degree in Strategic Management at the University of Kabianga in 2010 and is currently undertaking his PhD in the same field at the same institution.

Hon. Sigei’s professional experience is extensive and varied. He served as a Data Collection Officer at KNBS and worked with several non-governmental organizations. In 2007, he became the NG-CDF Fund Account Manager in Narok, later transferring to Rarieda Constituency in 2009. His roles involved overseeing both financial and non-financial aspects related to board assets.

Throughout his career, Hon. Sigei has held pivotal roles in various constituencies, including Sotik, Belgut, and Soin/Sigowet. His dedication and competence were recognized when he was nominated as the CECM in charge of Finance and Economic Planning in October 2017. He was reappointed to the same position in 2022, a testament to his leadership and expertise.

Hon. Sigei is not only a diligent public servant but also a devoted family man. A Christian attending Deliverance Church, he is married with children. His commitment extends beyond his professional duties, as he actively advocates for equal opportunities for both the girl and boy child. Education for everyone remains a core principle in his advocacy efforts, reflecting his belief in the transformative power of education for community development.
