The County Government of Bomet, through the Department of Roads, Transport and Public Works, has intensified road rehabilitation efforts in Silibwet Township Ward, Bomet Central Sub County.
Final road works involving compaction is currently underway on the Tenwek international access Road. The road is critical as it facilitates easy access to nearby schools and health facilities.
Elsewhere, Njerian- Kiswahili bridge road and Kecheiyat Pry Junction – Kapngetuny road within the same ward have been maintained and ready for use.
The maintainance of this road network is key to unlocking economic potential, easing transport and improving service delivery. Besides, it opens up our rural areas to potential investors and eases the cost of doing business.
The county government, under the able leadership of Governor Prof. Hillary Barchok remains committed to expanding and sustaining quality infrastructure to enhance mobility and support development across all wards.
Such roadworks are also ongoing in the rest of the 25 wards of Bomet County and will be stepped up following the allocation of more resources to the department thus new financial year.
