A delegation of the Bomet Youth League, a youth advocacy group, paid a courtesy visit to the County Govt of Bomet, office of the governor, this afternoon.
The team which was hosted by Chief Officer for Youth and Sports Dr Nelson Tore on behalf of the governor, presented a number of grievances and ideas of collaboration with the county administration in advancing youth employment and inclusion.
Key among their agenda was youth access to AGPO opportunities in county tenders, youth tailored programs such as Internships and Attachments, youth fund, youth participation in budget making process(CIDP and ADP), adequate budgetary allocation to youth programs among others.
Dr Tore promised the youths that their grievances will be given the necessary attention and their voice in advancing youth inclusion is much welcomed.
The team which is drawn from across the county was led by their chairman Emmanuel Kipkirui.
Also in attendance was the governor’s personal assistant Mr Jonathan Ngeno Majaliwa and Director youth and sports Mr Vincent Langat.
