State Officials Visit Proposed Kipchamba Stadium Site for Assessment

Bomet County continues to strengthen its position as a hub for both music and sports talent development. The County Government of Bomet, through the department of Lands and the department of Youth & Sports, in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports, Kenya, conducted a site visit to the proposed Kipchamba Stadium in Kyogong, Nyangores Ward, Chepalungu Sub-County to assess preparedness for construction works.

The delegation was led by the Deputy Director of Sports Mr. Gabriel Komora. The visiting delegation later paid a courtesy call to the county department of Youth and Sports.

The visit confirmed the County’s commitment to meeting all necessary requirements to enable commencement of the stadium’s development.

Once completed, Kipchamba Stadium will provide a modern facility to nurture talent in athletics, football and other sporting disciplines, while also creating employment opportunities and enhancing local revenue generation.

Present during the visit were Chief Officer for Lands Hon. Haron Kirui, Chief Officer for Youth and Sports Dr. Nelson Tore, Director of Survey Mr. David Lang’at and other officials from Sports Kenya.
