The Economic Planning Department of the County Government of Bomet is in its final stages of preparing the County Fiscal Strategy Paper that will be presented to the County Assembly of Bomet before the 28th of this month, as required by the Public Finance Management Act.
The document highlights the achievements realised by the County Government across its ten departments over the previous financial year 2024/2025 as well as the challenges the administration faced, over the same period.
According to the Director of Economic Planning at the department, Ronald Sang, the document will be subjected to a Public Participation exercise by wananchi across the five sub counties on Friday, this week.
The conclusion of the CFSP will not only contextualize the county’s fiscal strategy but will also inform stakeholders about the CGoB’s perfomance.
Besides, the document will also set departmental ceilings and priorities for the FY 2026/27.
Throughout the better part of the day, a team from the department held a meeting in Bomet to fine-tune the document and are working around the clock to ensure that the same is delivered within the stipulated timelines.
