Officials from the Ministry of Defense(MOD) and the contractor, China Roads and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), paid a working visit to Bomet for site assessment ahead of the commencement of the construction of the new state-of-the-art 10,000 seater Kipchamba Stadium, Kyogong grounds this morning.

The team which was led by Lt Col Purity Olives Githehu, paid a courtesy visit to the office of Governor Prof Hillary Barchok, who hosted them for a briefing before they headed to the site for their assessment.

During the briefing, the two parties said that the construction of the stadium is expected to commence immediately.

The flagship project will be done by the National Government through the Ministries of Defense and Sports in partnership with County Government of Bomet, department of Youth and Sports.

County Officials in attendance were the DG Hon. Shadrach Rotich, Hon. Agnes Ngeno (CECM Education & Sports), Chief Officers Dr. Nelson Tore(Youth and Sports) and Hon. Haron Kirui(Lands), Directors Vincent Langat(Youth and Sports) and David Langat (Survey)
