Bomet County Governor Prof. Hillary Barchok took his ward development tour to Ndanai Abaosi Ward in Sotik Sub-County, on Thursday.
The tour kicked off at Gorgor Centre, where the county boss promised the residents to construct a water tank on the upper side to supply water to their homes. He also took note of their wishes to have the maternity wing of the Gorgor dispensary completed and operationalized, pledging to see to it that the wish is fulfilled.
Later, the governor proceeded to Mariko ECD, where he delivered furniture to the center for use by the young learner.
The move is aimed at improving the learning environment for the pupils when they report back to school in January next year.
From Kaplomboi Centre, Governor Barchok visited Ndanai VTC to inspect the ongoing construction of a dormitory at a cost of Kshs. 3 million. The contractor reported that the project is over 90% complete and will be ready for use in a few months.
The governor wrapped up his visit by launching the construction of Mosonik-Kiplaten Road in the area.
During the tour, the governor was joined by the area MCA, who adds up as the majority leader of the county Assembly of Bomet Hon Paul Kirui, Kipsonoi Ward MCA Hon. Peter Chirchir, Kapletundo Ward MCA Hon Nathan Kibet, Hon. Charles Langat of Boito Ward and Nominated MCA Oliva Kosgey.
