The County Government of Bomet through the department of Education and Vocational Training, is calling on all needy students in secondary schools and the 33 VTCs across the county to apply for the annual secondary school partial scholarship and the newly started VTC bursary program.

The program is aimed at improving access to education by the needy students who are having financial challenges due to family backgrounds and other related challenges.

The two different bursary forms are available at all cyber cafes and ward offices. Students, parents and guardians are required to complete the forms before the deadline set for the 17th of November, this year.

The program has been lauded by the residents for its transparent and fair selection process undertaken by the Bursary committee at the ward level made up of respected members of the society drawn from education and religious sectors as well as youth, gender and pwd representatives.
