The Department of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries, in conjunction with the Kenya Red Cross Society, paid a visit to the Nogirwet Irrigation project in Chebunyo Ward, Chepalungu Sub County.

The purpose of the visit was to inspect the weldability to the project which is under the Bomet irrigation development plan (BDIP).

The officers vowed to continue supporting farmers through trainings and giving them farm inputs to ensure that they maximize production and benefit from the venture as well as increase food security in the county.

The Department of Agriculture called upon the Kenya Red Cross Society to continue with their partnership in order to increase the number of households under the Bomet Development Irrigation Development program.
