Bomet County Governor Prof. Hillary Barchok presided over the swearing-in ceremony of five new chief officers following their vetting and subsequent approval by the county assembly.
The five COs are Mr. Felix Langat Kipkorir; Medical and Health Services, Mr. Issa Kasim Yarrow; Land Housing and Urban Planning, Ms. Stella Rotich Chepkorir Chepkoech; Information and Communication Technology, Ms. Chepkoech Hellen; Youth and Sports and David Cheruiyot; Administration and Public Services.
Speaking during the swearing in ceremony that was held at the county headquarters, Prof. Barchok congratulated the new COs and exuded confidence that they were going to deliver to the people of Bomet, given their level of qualification and experience.
Prof. Barchok also stated that all due procedures were followed during the recruitment. He thanked the public service board for conducting a fair and transparent recruitment process. He also applauded the members of the county assembly for performing their vetting duties smoothly and diligently.
Other speakers praised Governor Barchok’s administration for approving the nomination of Mr. Issah Yarrow, who is from a minority community.
The chief officers vowed to deliver their mandates in accordance with the constitution and uphold service delivery.
The ceremony was graced by, among others, the County Assembly deputy Speaker, several members of the county assembly, Chairman of the Public Service Board, County Executive Committee Members, a Section of Government Officers and Members of the Public.
