Change Of Guard As Cheruiyot Takes Over Kilimo House

The County Government of Bomet has officially ushered in new leadership at the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries & Cooperatives, with CPA Bernard Cheruiyot taking over as the new CECM.

Outgoing CECM Hon. Rosa Bett handed over the role to Mr. Cheruyot in a ceremony witnessed by Chief Officer for Agriculture Dr. Kibet Sitienei, Chief Officer for Cooperatives CPA Benard Koros, and other senior departmental staff.

During the hand-over ceremony, CPA Cheruiyot lauded his predecessor for her dedicated service and impactful leadership during her tenure, wishing her well in her role as the CECM Finance, Economic planning and ICT.

The Incoming CECM, Hon Benard Cheruiyot, pledged to build on existing progress and strengthen agricultural transformation across the county.

“We acknowledge the hardwork and dedication that Mrs. Bett has invested in the department during her tenure and we promise to follow in her footsteps as we try to turn around the fortunes of our farmers across Bomet County”, said Mr. Cheruiyot.

The new CECM takes over the mantle of leadership of the department following his nomination by governor Hillary Barchok and his subsequent approval by the county assembly of Bomet a few weeks ago.

Before his appointment, CPA Cheruiyot had previously served the County government of Bomet as the Chief Officer, Finance.
