The County Government of Bomet has officially launched the construction of Kaplele Dispensary to address the healthcare needs of the people of the area, and beyond. Through the Department of Health Services, Governor Prof. Hillary Barchok’s administration says the move is a step towards taking health services closer to wananchi as envisaged in the Constitution.
Speaking while leading the ground-breaking ceremony for the project earlier today, the Chief Officer for Health Services Mr. Felix Lang’at assured the residents of the area that the project will be completed in the stipulated time and that he will keep a close eye on the contractor to ensure that the facility conforms to the required standards.
“We are under firm instructions from the governor to ensure that wananchi get value for their money in this project and that it is completed and operationalized in the shortest time possible”, the CO said.
He added that the department is committed to improving the healthcare of the people not just by building new facilities but also looking into the welfare of the medical staff and keeping a steady supply of drugs in all facilities across the county.
Area MCA Joseah Samoei who witnessed the launch of the new project thanked Governor Barchok for his efforts to improve the healthcare system in the county. He added that, alongside his colleagues in the county assembly of Bomet, he will support the governor in delivering projects for the people.
