The County Government of Bomet has, earlier today, handed over the site for the construction of Kapsengere Dispensary to the contractor to commence works, immediately. This marks the beginning of the journey to bring health services closer to the people of Kapsengere and the larger Kimulot ward.
According to CO health services, Felix Lang’at, the department and it’s partner the Kenya Red Cross have agreed with the contractor that the project will be completed six-months time.
“As a department, we assure the Governor and the people of Kimulot Ward that we shall fastrack the acquisition of all the equipment needed to operationalize the facility as soon as the contractor is done”. Said the CO.
Mr. Lang’at added that they had given firm instructions to the contractor to ensure that the construction conformed to the required standards and that the people get value for their money.
On his part, area MCA Eric Kirui, who graced the function, thanked Governor Prof. Hillary Barchok for his efforts to enhance the delivery of health services, adding that he will personally keep a close eye on the project in his oversight role as a representative of the people of Kimulot Ward.
The handing over ceremony was also witnessed by C.O Felix Lang’at, Director Lang’at, Eng. Timothy and Eng. Wahigwa (Red Cross) Mr. John Tonui, Mr. Mosonik (the initial land owner), among others.
