Selection Panel for Vacant CPSB positions hands over report to Gov. Barchok

The selection panel for the recruitment of two board members and the CEO of Bomet County Public Service Board has, this afternoon, handed over their report to Governor Prof. Hillary Barchok following the conclusion of a rigorous recruitment process.

The panel was constituted to fill the positions that fell vacant following the resignation of the former board member representing Konoin Sub County, Caroline Cherotich Sossion and the expiry of tenure for Justus Lang’at who was representing Sotik Sub county. The former CEO Peter Bii’s tenure also lapsed.

The selection panel chaired by Mrs Alice Kirui has been conducting the recruitment exercise that included advertising the vacancies, shortlisting candidates and conducting interviews to determine suitable candidates to fill the vacant positions.

Governor Barchok is expected to forward names of successful candidates to the county assembly for vetting and approval before they are formally appointed into office.

County Secretary Simon Lang’at and County Attorney John Mark Lang’at witnessed the handover of the report, at the governor’s office.
