Longisa Hospital installs State-of-the-art CT Scan Machine.

The Longisa County Referral Hospital has commenced the installation of a new 160 slice CT Scan machine that will greatly improve imaging services at the facility.

The state-of-the-art CT Scan will provide more detailed images of bones, muscles, organs, and blood vessels than standard X-rays. It is an advanced multislice CT scanner designed for high speed and high resolution imaging which will assist radiologists in detecting abnormalities more easily.

According to medics at the facility, the new equipment supports a wide range of clinical applications including neurology, cardiology, Oncology, Trauma and full body Scan.

The installation process is expected to be completed next week.

The CECM for Health Services, Dr Joseph Sitonik led officers from the department who oversaw the process at the hospital, earlier this morning.

Mwanwhile, Governor Prof. Hillary Barchok toured Siongiroi and Chebunyo wards in Chepalungu Sub County where he inspected projects being implemented by his administration, for the better part of the day.

Among the projects the governor inspected are Bing’wa Waterpan, Kataret Pipeline extension and Chebunyo Dairies.

Addressing area residents who turned up in their numbers to receive and engage him during the tour, the governor reiterated his commitment to ensuring that every single project initiated will be completed and operationilized in due course.

“We are doing everything in our power to see to it that all projects being implemented across the county are completed for the benefit of our hardworking residents,” Said the governor.

Prof. Barchok also commissioned projects that are already complete, in the two wards.

He was accompanied by Deputy Governor Shadrack Rotich, CECs, COs, a host of MCAs, among others.
